Graduates
Ryan Moloney
Started at MBCTA at ten years old and in 1995 received the long-running role of Toadie in Neighbors.
In 2004 Moloney was nominated for a Golden Rose of Montreux award for the best actor in a soap.
Lulu McClatchy
A writer, actress and comedian. She begun writing and performing her own shows at the Edinburgh Festival and went on to create Supergirly.
She has performed with Elton John in the Australian part of his tour and appeared in Neighbors in 2015 as Genevieve ‘Eva’ Doyle.
Sam Aldham
Studied VCE drama at MBCTA Youth Theatre in 1999, giving him the skills and experience to go on a study theatre at Monash. Aldham then began as a flying trapeze instructor and performer before studying circus arts at NICA.
He has most recently joined Circus Oz and is performing both Nationally and Internationally.
Erin Cornell
Post training with MBCTA Youth Theatre, Cornell went on to study musical theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts on a Whitehorse Arts scholarship.
After graduating Cornell begun her musical theatre career playing Cindy in A Beauty Spot for Magnormos. She has since stared in Wicked as Elphaba (USJ, Japan) and was the Standby for Delta Goodrem in the Australian tour of Cats.
Marty Smiley
Graduated from MBCTA in 2009 and in 2012 won the Channel V presenter search and worked as a host, presenter, TV Writer and Producer with them until 2015.
Smiley has travelled across the world interviewing musicians, hosting music festivals and writing content. He is also a long time member of the Reach Foundation.
Jane Hall
A performer all her life, appearing in The Henderson Kids as a child and participated in high school productions alongside her training at MBCTA.
Jane is most famous for her long-running role in Neighbors as Rebecca Napier/Robinson. She is currently a radio host on Kiss 101.1 as half of the Krissy and Jane show.
Troy Nankervis
Leaving MBCTA Youth Theatre in 2004, Nankervis went on to study an Advanced Diploma of Screen (Film and Television Production).
He worked as a Broadcast trainee for channel 10 before returning to study journalism (among other things) and is currently working as a Line-up Producer for Channel 7’s ‘The Morning Show’.
Tempany Deckert
Studied at MBCTA Youth Theatre for 6 years, most know for her role as Selina Cook in Home and Away. Deckert has been in many Australian and International television shows, films and stage productions.
She has also published many teen books and is currently a drama teacher at UCLA .
Warren Parrot
Has worked for the Herald Sun, ACP and then Trader magazines before becoming an Executive TV Producer for Discover Downunder and then What’s Up Downunder.
